I know nothing about hppa, but it may be that the ramdisk size is set too low. Could you check the ramdisk size in the boot configuration on the CD and try with a higher value? Try booting with something like 'linux ramdisk_size=20000' (assuming you can manually enter boot parameters). Cheers, FJP
