Re:%20Bug#290373: Debian Installation Report Template

In-Reply-To=<852ca5d050113123359dedcfe@mail.gmail.com>

I just did a google search for my email and this URL popped up:

http://lists.debian.org/debian-boot/2005/01/msg00533.html

I don't appreciate my email being publically displayed like this
because no where have I explicitly allowed my email to be published.
If you look at another archive of this same post you'll see they do a
good job of [EMAIL PROTECTED]:

http://www.mail-archive.com/debian-boot@lists.debian.org/msg67432.html

Sending in the encouraged installation reports is putting myself at
risk of email spam/attacks. It dis-encourages me to participate in
any of these types of reports from now on... This is the only place
that my email has been published so the 10-or-so spam emails that I
have gotten are probably due to this. I don't know if it's
Debian-Installer's fault, or mail-archive.com ... but either way
someone is doing something they really shouldn't be. I guess
mail-archive could be a subscriber of the debian mailing list and
automatically save and publish copies of the discussion- but then it
should be in the mailing list's guidelines that you are not allowed to
do such a thing: or at least set restrictions on things like names,
emails, other personal info, etc.
