kernel's tg3 module of boot cd has bugs?
I download a sarge rc2 netinst boot cd to install debian for IBM
"BladeCenter" server,it belongs E series server。2.8.1 kernel on this
boot cd can recognize Broadcom Corporation NetXtreme BCM5704S Gigabit
Ethernet, load the tg3 module, but can't drive it.
after I install a kernel-image-2.6.10, with the tg3 module of
kernel-image-2.6.10, the network card work correctly!
the RedHat AS 3 with kernel 2.4.21 can drive this network card, I think
no reason that Debian boot cd with kernel 2.4.27 and kernel 2.6.8 can't
drive it! so I think maybe it a bug of boot cd or kernel
