Comments/Problems:

Install with TV as display, using PS/2 keyboard and mouse.

Initial boot splash only top half showing. If enter pressed, screen
looses sync. If press function keys, text displayed only. For the
function keys to work the F Lock key must be pressed. Could boot with
"linux26 vga=771".

Partitioning went ok but options got set wrong. Requested "noatime" for
Reiserfs and got "notail, noatime" in fstab.

I didn't want GRUB so tried to install "lilo" but failed with "Fatal:
APPEND or LITERAL may not contain "vga="". By using the other terminal
I removed the "append="vga=771"" lines and "lilo" executed ok.

Install logs and other status info is available in
/var/log/debian-installer/.
