Debian-installer-version:

uname -a: <The result of running uname -a on a shell prompt>
Date: 12/8/04 1:30am
Method: CD base install

Machine: Random parts that boot up
Processor: Athlon Classic 700
Memory: 640 M
Root Device: SCSI
Root Size/partition table: n/a
Output of lspci and lspci -n:

Base System Installation Checklist:
[O] = OK, [E] = Error (please elaborate below), [ ] = didn't try it

Initial boot worked: [O ]
Configure network HW: [ O]
Config network: [ O]
Detect CD: [ O]
Load installer modules: [O ]

Mount partitions: [ O]
Install base system: [ ]O
Install boot loader: [O ]
Reboot: [ O]

Comments/Problems:

The installer does not properly detect an INI-A100U2W SCSI card. It
incorrectly identifies the module to be loaded as the "initio" module
when it should really use the "a100u2w" module for this particular
card. (All other Initio cards use the other module.) Although the
module can be loaded through the shell manually, the installer doesn't
build it into the initrd image and the system will never boot up.
