Package: partman-auto
Severity: serious
Version: 31

I found new partman-auto sets mount option for some partitions.

    - add "noatime" mount option in the atomic and home recipes. Thanks
      to Ryan Underwood, closes: #265295
    - add mount options in the multi_user recipes:
         "nodev" and "noexec" for /boot,
         "nodev" for /usr,
"nodev", "noexec", "usrquota" and "grpquota" for /var,
"nodev", "nosuid", "usrquota" and "grpquota" for /tmp,
"nodev", "nosuid", "usrquota" and "grpquota" for /home

Excuse me, but I can't agree to append such options without any
notification or/and changing policy about partitions.

"Improving performance" is always optional. If user wants to do,
he/she can do it from partman menu. Please don't set as default.

'noatime' option confuses applications using atime.
'nosuid' option may break user applications.
'noexec', 'nodev', 'usrquota', and 'grpquota' may work, but are they
really defined by default? They are optional.

I think defining these option by default is really really bad and
violates traditional way.

Thanks,
