Package: installation
Version: sarge-i386-netinst.iso from 20040208

hello,

i tried the debian-installer on a P4 with a 15GB IBM ide harddisk. I chose
the 'bf24' method, and everything went fine until the bootloader section.
As far as i remember the installer tried to install LILO automatically,
but it segfaults and i am presented with the 'advanced options menu', from
where i chose to install grub.
Grub didn't not install clean too. I noticed, that the progressbar stops
at about 80%, but then a window pops up, telling me its done.

The 'finish & reboot' option didn't work either. After i manually
restarted i was presented with the grub propmt. i tried to boot manually (
hd(0,0)...), but then i noticed there was no kernel image in /boot and in
/.
Then i installed debian from the debian-30r2-i386-binary-1.iso cdrom, and
noticed, that am using 'hdb' actually. Actually the BIOS also reporst the
harddisk is at the second row, but i didn't see that first.
