Bug#255138: Installation report for TC1 on Dell PowerEdge 2650 (99% Flawless!)

If you still have the system, what happens if you modprobe aic7xxx on
the installed system? Any interesting messages to console or dmesg? Does
the system actually have a card that would be driven by this, or was it
completly spurious that the installer tried to load the module?

It contains 2 Adaptec SCSI controllers, but I don't believe they're supposed to be handled by the aic7xxx driver. 'No such device' errors are returned attempting to modprobe aic7xxx post-install. When asked by discover and lspci, they call themselves "Adaptec RAID subsystem HBA". I've attached a tarball with the useful contents of /var/log/debian-installer.

Grepping everything there for aic7xxx reveals what I suppose might be a mismatch between what this thing reports itself as and what discover thinks should be done with it, however, I'm not familiar with hw-detect, so i reserve the right to be wrong. :)
