Comments/Problems:

Configure network hw. There was small problem with ISA ne2k card.
When it was installed as PnP card, isa-pnp.o and ne.o programed it to io=0x240
irq=5, which resulted in Tx timeouts and not receiving anything...
I thought, that it's conflict with ISA SoundBlaster16, so I switched it to use
io=0x240 irq=11 non-PnP mode. After that, even after booting with
DEBCONF_PRIORITY=low and inputting necessary parameters in opened window,
ne.o module can't be loaded. Strangely, when I switched to another VC and
modprobe'd ne.o io=0x240 irq=11 everything worked well (I still had to add this
to /etc/modules after installation completed).

Load installer modules. Another story. This PC has only 32Mb RAM, so / was 16Mb
initially. After loading of some modules, it failed with ~16Kb avaible on / :(
Fortunately, during installation / is tmpfs, so I've brought floppy with
fdisk, mount, ld-linux.so.2 and libc.so.6, partitioned disc, created swap
partition, swapon'ed it and remounted (here I needed "normal" mount. Maybe d-i's
mount should support -o remount,... option?) it to enlarge to ~52Mb. After that,
everithing worked OK.

Install boot loader: I choosed to use GRUB. But it couldn't boot "out-of-box".
D-i (or update-grub) messed groot with root and put "# groot=(hd0,1)" and not
"# groot=(hd0,0)" as it should be.

Hello, a while ago you reported a problem with the Debian Installer. I
think that your problem is fixed in the just released beta 3 of the
installer. If you're still able to install to the hardware you tried it on,
please download it from http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-installer/, and
try it again. Feel free to file another installation report.

A few of the new features of beta 3 include:

  - new easy to use partitioner that supports automatic partitioning and LVM
  - grub as the default boot loader on i386
  - wireless networking support
  - 2.4.25 kernel, with SATA support and security fixes
  - support for the XFS filesystem
