Package: installation-reports

Debian-installer-version: 03-02-2004 (DD/MM/YY) Unstable Floppy
Images

uname -a: Linux (none) 2.4.22-1-386 #9 Sat Oct 4 14:30:39 EST
2003 i486 unkown

Date: 06-02-2004 (DD/MM/YY)

Method: <How did you install? What did you boot off? If
network
      install, from where? Proxied?>

DI boot floppies. Used Boot/Root/Net Driver

Machine: Generic i486, 40MB RAM, IDE disks, Ne2000 ISA NIC

Processor: 486DX4/100

Memory: 40MB

Root Device: /dev/hda

Root Size/partition table: <Feel free to paste the full
partition
table, with notes on which partitions are mounted where.>

Output of lspci:

	No PCI in this system

Detect hard drives: [ ]
Partition hard drives: [ ]
Create file systems: [ ]
Mount partitions: [ ]
Install base system: [ ]
Install boot loader: [ ]
Reboot: [ ]
[O] = OK, [E] = Error (please elaborate below), [ ] = didn't try
it

Comments/Problems:

Need to load ne.o for ne2000 NIC. Standard install (not expert)
does not allow for the entry of module options as required for
this module (io=0x300, irq=10)

DI gives error "Error while running 'modprobe -v ne'"

Manual insmod of module (with options required) does work and
install can continue afterwards (not for a newb though).
