This is probably related to bug #219333 and #231453.  The problem is
that all characters not used on the first floppy is not available in
the reduced font.  The code to reload the font when the full font is
available is in place, but the code to trigger the reload is not
working yet.  Or is it?  Some fixes went in yesterday, which I think
is related.
