I installed sarge using d-i beta2 on a system with a nVidia nForce ethernet interface built in to the motherboard. There are no drivers for this hardware in the kernel included with beta2. That's OK, and understandable. The problem was that I was prompted to choose a driver for my network hardware after each and ever step in the installation process. Natually, the answer was "none of the above" each time. Aside from that and the grub-installer problem mentioned in a separate message, everything went very smoothly. I apologize if this was a known issue. I'll try a newer d-i build over the weekend and report on it, if it's likely to fix these problems. noah
