Base System Installation Checklist:
[O] = OK, [E] = Error (please elaborate below), [ ] = didn't try it
Initial boot worked: [o]
Configure network HW: [o]
Config network: [o] - No DHCP, manual worked fine
Detect CD: [o]
Load installer modules: [o]
Detect hard drives: [o]
Partition hard drives: [o]
Create file systems: [o]
Mount partitions: [o]
Install base system: [o]
Install boot loader: [o] - GRUB
Reboot: [o]
Comments/Problems:
MD raid1 GRUB boot worked, but only after toggling bootable flag on underlying /boot partitions. Doh!
MD configuration was a bit non-intuitive, but it's impressive that it all works without intervention when menus are properly used
