Bug#284223: #284223: Raising the severity of this bug

severity 284223 serious
thanks

I've just encountered this bug myself on a freshly installed box.

This bug really leads to extremely ugly output to the console. Also, as it
causes modules that maybe _should_ be loaded to _not_ be loaded, it could
result in a broken system.
IMHO this makes the package 'unreleasable' with this bug which justifies
the level serious.

An example of what appears on the console:
<snip>
