Package: installation-reports

Debian-installer-version: http://people.debian.org/~joshk/d-i/images/2004=
-09-29/sparc32/netboot/
uname -a: didn't get this far
Date: 9 October 2004
Method: network install using rarp, no proxy

Machine: Sparcstation 20
Processor: two 150MHz processors
Memory: 256MB
Root Device: SCSI
Root Size/partition table: N/A
Output of lspci and lspci -n: N/A

Base System Installation Checklist:
[O] =3D OK, [E] =3D Error (please elaborate below), [ ] =3D didn't try it=

Initial boot worked: [E]
Configure network HW: [ ]
Config network: [ ]
Detect CD: [ ]
Load installer modules: [ ]

Mount partitions: [ ]
Install base system: [ ]
Install boot loader: [ ]
Reboot: [ ]

Comments/Problems: Starts booting the image from the network OK
then the computer resets itself. The last line on the console before
this happens is:

(process=3D144): INFO kbd-mode: setting console to unicode (UTF-8)

Just to make sure I didn't have a hardware problem I tried the same
boot.img on a Sparcstation 10 on which I have previously installed
Debian from the network successfully. This time instead of rebooting
the machine just hung, but the error was in the same place.

Hope this is some help.

Ben Mulvihill
