Comments/Problems:
I ran into the bug mentioned on the DebianWiki: DebainInsallerBrokenThings [
http://wiki.debian.net/index.cgi?DebianInstallerBrokenThings ]. "RAID1 with
swap on the first partition and root on the second partition doesn't boot
after GRUB install. I had been tried installing a few times before seeing
that. Once I saw that I switched the partitions and it booted just fine.

<Description of the install, in prose, and any thoughts, comments
and ideas you had during the initial install.>
The installation went very well after I found the solution. Thank you for the
built in software RAID and e1000 driver they made my life with Debian
bearable.

Is there anyway that you could have an option where you select which
distribution you would like installed?

Yes. You need to use the medium priority install ("linux
DEBCONF_PRIORITY=medium" at the boot prompt) for that and a
businesscard CD image. Things may be different with "netinst" images
but you may have the opportunity with these as well, however only in
2nd stage.

Given that this install report is a complete success report (except
the already known issue), I do as usual with successful install
report : I close the bug..:-)

This does not of course mean you weren't right to report. Knowing the
installations are correct is important for the d-i team.

Many thanks for yourtime testing the Debian Installer and reporting
your results. Have fun with your new Debian system!
