clone 220949 -1 severity 220949 normal reassign -1 partman thanks Both partman and partconf contain the bug of not sanity checking the filesystem type of an existing partition chosen for use as the root fs. The only filesystem that's so far reported to experience *corruption* in such a case is HFS; powerpc now uses partman as its primary partitioning tool, and the incidence of usable dual-boot m68k macs is practically nil, so I'm downgrading the bug open against partconf. In light of the d-i string freeze, it may be necessary to release with this bug unfixed in partman, as well; for the moment, I'm leaving the severity as-is. -- Steve Langasek postmodern programmer
