Hello.
Just to add some info to this bug - when I'm using the 2.6.8 kernel
(from the distribution, kernel-image-2.6.8-1-686 2.6.8-2, as later
versions break the APM on my laptop) I'm missing /media/cdrom0, thus
I am unable to mount the CD-ROM on my IBM ThinkPad R31 laptop.
But when I'm booting with the 2.6.7 kernel (again, it's the packaged
kernel-image-2.6.7-1-686 2.6.7-2) everything works as advertised, and
both mounting and automounting (via gnome-volume-manager/pmount) operate
without a glitch.
I'm not sure how the 2.6.8 kernels later than -2 behave (I can't upgrade
to one of them and check it as I lost the .deb for 2.6.8-2 and wouldn't
be able to revert back to -2 if the APM is still broken).
Cheers,
