I did not say it was detected, I said it was identified, and I meant by lspci.
This is in contrast to some of the other chips in the machine which lspci did
not identify.  At least one of these is the graphics chip, but I will submit a
separate report about that.

The module b44 recognises this chip, and once loaded the network
works a treat.
