Please reassign this bug if I've sent it to the wrong place.

Using the boot disk in Sarge RC1, the command line are ignored.
I.e. running

  expert noapic nolapic

still uses the APIC, and /proc/cmdline shows no mention of the added
arguments.

I'm back to using the Woody rescue disk for now.

This is a known bug in the version of syslinux used in rc1. It is fixed
in all newer releases.
