Bug#279855: debian-installer: Support PPPoE
Package: debian-installer
Severity: wishlist
It would be nice if the debian-installer would include pppoe (even in
businesscard) and provide PPPoE as an option when asking if a PPP
connection should be created.
Right now I have to download the netinst-image (because business does
not contain pppoe), install the base-system, give an local IP to the
machine (192.168.), and, when asked whether I want to create a PPP
connection, switch consoles and run pppoeconf.
I think this cannot be expected from users who install Debian for the
first time (and who do not know the differences between a normal Modem
and a DSL-Modem)
