Thanks for your quick response. I hoped for a digital camera but I was unable to lend one. So, for now, I can only describe the screen. With sarge, the debian logo is shown four times (upper left, upper right, lower left and lower right) and slightly slanted. Unfortunately, the logo is split up over these four positions and the pattern doesn't look regular. So, it's not that the first line is upper-left, the next line is upper-right, etc. The result is quite bad: a few lines upper-left, a few lines lower-right, etc. with black between the lines and a slant added to that. However, some portions don't have black between the lines and it seems like the whole block is lower-right or something like that. I know I'm not clear on this, so I'll try harder to borrow a camera.
