Comments/Problems:

After configuring the network via DHCP, I entered all the information
for the mirror (ftp.au.debian.org) and proxy (local network,
http://proxy:3128/).

All traffic to the mirror succeeded fine, getting the Release files and
presenting a list of "stable", "testing", "unstable" to choose from. I
chose "testing".

The remaining drivers and pieces of debian-installer were downloaded
from the mirror. Then an error was presented saying the Release file
could not be downloaded from the mirror. No attempt to reconfigure the
mirror settings would allow any further downloads from the mirror.
