Bug#276998: Mostly successful MegaRaid installation (with workaround)
Did another test with 4 LV's on the Megaraid and a separate /boot
partition on my second IDE-drive. Worked perfectly.

Not sure what caused this during the first installation. Problem did not
occur during my second test.

Network card works correctly now. The failure during the first install was
possibly the result of an IRQ conflict after the installation of the
MegaRaid controller.
