Tried netinst labelled 20040930 on the same machine. Default boot from CD stops at:
cramfs: wrong magic
kernel panic: VFS: unable to mount rootfs on 00:00
When booted with "ramdisk_size=32768 rootfstype=ext2", the process gets to the "Choose Language" dialog, and hangs there, not responding to keyboard events. My keyboard and mouse are USB devices.
