Hi,
Here are a few code fragments that allow the software RAID /dev/md/
partitions to be marked up as LVM PV's

This solves "half the battle" of LVM on Software RAID
bug #245704 tracks the other "half" of the problem(making lvmcfg read
the lvm "markers" we allow to be set here).
