Base System Installation Checklist:
[O] = OK, [E] = Error (please elaborate below), [ ] = didn't try it

Initial boot worked: [O]
Configure network HW: [O]
Config network: [O]
Detect CD: [O]
Load installer modules: [O]
Detect hard drives: [O]
Partition hard drives: [O]
Create file systems: [O]
Mount partitions: [o]
Install base system: [O]
Install boot loader: [O]
Reboot: [E]

Comments/Problems:
Kernel gives Oops when trying to boot the installed
system. Following line appears during boot:
/etc/rcS.d/S36discover: line 181: 405 Segmentation fault modprobe $MODULE

However, loading modules continues, and after a while systems hangs, the
last line on the screen being:
usb.c: registered new driver hub

Booting "recovery mode" in grub-menu didn't help, I was able to boot by
giving 'init=/bin/sh' to kernel.

I need information how to save the kernel log to a file when booting
fails, so that I can provide complete boot log.
