I have revision 35 of the same card; it's a 10/100 card. I think it's a safe bet that your revision 36 unit is as well. This also makes problems with autosensing hubs more likely, as most of the bugs in this area occur specifically when you have devices on both ends trying to autoconfigure their speed. No idea why options=0 would fail, unless perhaps the switch port is *not* configured for autosensing but is instead hard configured for 100Mbps. Not being able to resuscitate the interface with ifconfig is thoroughly expected. info: /bin/report-hw: /proc/pci: Bus 0, device 13, function 0: info: /bin/report-hw: /proc/pci: VGA compatible controller: Matrox Graphics, Inc. I don't have any direct experience with the Mystique, but I trust it's in much the same state as my Millennium II, that both will work in framebuffer mode if and when there's code to automatically load the matroxfb_base module.
