Comments/Problems:

I partitioned my drive with swap being the first partition and the boot/root
partition was second. After the reboot grub was trying to boot from the swap partition with an error message sililar to "(hd0,0) unknown partition type 82".

I edited the boot lines in grub so it read (hd0,1) and it booted fine. I've
since reinstalled with swap as the second partition (but still at the beggining of the disk) and that worked no problem. The rest of the install went pretty smoothly except for one annoyance. After setting up the raid and creating a reiserfs filesystem for my root, I went into the LVM config. When that was done and I came back to the partition table it forgot my settings for my root fs. I had to tell it what type it was, where it
was mounted and the mount options all over again.

I also coulnd't find a way to specify the LVM extent size even when I tried
expert mode. With an extent size of 4M will only alow LVs of 256G. Since 250G
drives are now available this is kind of low. A default of 32M might be a
better idea as that allows room to expand the LVs to 2T which would allow 8
250G drives which is what you can connect to most modern motherboards. Or just
allow an option to specify the size.
