Comments/Problems:
Basically flawless, for this simple install path.
I didn't get fancy with LVM & partman.
However fdisk did report on a disk I wasn't expecting it to: sdc
I can't quite understand this. The box has three separate hard disks,
all of which are in a RAID5 set, set up by the onboard RAID controller
It also has a cdrom (/dev/hdc) and a floppy. There is nothing in the
logfiles to suggest how sdc was detected.
I think this device was recognized after I hotplugged a USB key
in, to drag off the logfiles. Could this be a side effect of hotplug
rescanning the SCSI bus? For some reason I didn't capture the dmesg
output, let me know if you want to see it.
