Bug#272995: fails on g4 desktop

This is what i get with the ubuntu install.
with the daily sarge build iget the same just shows a different kernel.
The rc1 build installs OK [no sound},but when i "upgrade" to unstable it goes wrong again. over at Ubuntu somebody said its bug 1379 but i have a single processor-machine.
Any suggestions
