Bug#270304: This does seem to be a problem

netcfg-common.templates contains:

> If your WEP key is in the format of a passphrase, prefix it with 's:'
> (without quotes).


However, the user reports that the passphrase cannot be entered in the
"s:" format.

I will investigate further.
