Bug#271314: (no subject)

Package: installation-reports

INSTALL REPORT

Debian-installer-version:

 I used sarge-powerpc-netinst.iso obtained from

 <URL:http://cdimage.debian.org/pub/cdimage-testing/sid_d-i/powerpc/20040911/>

 Since the original image did not include usable SCSI module .udebs,
 as reported separately in Bug#2....., I added them myself from the
 nearest mirror and rebuilt.

Comments:

 As always when installing on a PReP system, I had to drop into a
 shell after finishing the installation in order to make the system
 bootable from hard disk. Here are the exact steps:

 chroot /target
 sfdisk --change-id /dev/sda 1 41
 dd if=/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.8-powerpc of=/dev/sda1

 I'm not sure whether it's worth the effort of teaching d-i to do this
 for the user after asking whether it's okay.
