Yes, ide-detect, ide-mod, ide-probe-mod and maybe some other modules are gone for kernel 2.6.x. http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=261780 contains a fix for the hw-detect script, but by now this bug report was ignored :-(. Regards Harri
