Does timeout cause a trouble? The timeout was changed to zero after some users got annoyed or confused that the installation started without them doing anything, and without them having time to read the boot screen. I don't understand how the "control of USB keyboard is already passed to OS" when only isolinux is running, and not any OS. isolinux uses the BIOS to read the keyboard. Also, nobody else is reporting problems with USB keyboards, or at least many report they work, so are you sure you have it set up appropriatly in your BIOS? If this were a general problem with syslinux and USB keyboards, then using a timeout does not seem to me to be an acceptable solution. Many users need to type kernel parameters into syslinux to get a working install. -- see shy jo
