Comments/Problems:

When configuring the X server after the reboot, I selected /dev/input/mice
as the input device for the mouse. But when starting the X server, it complained
that it couldn't open /dev/input/mice. I checked in /dev and the file was there...
Trying with other programs (gpm) gave the same result. Presumably the module for
/dev/input/mice wasn't getting loaded by the kernel installed by debian-installer 1.0rc1.

Also when starting the partion step I got some kind of warning about being careful and all that, with two options. I'm sorry I don't remember the specific screen. It was
just a bit weird to be getting this since I was installing on a brand new (empty) disk.
I understand the need to be careful, but I think that if the disk block containing
the partion table is all zero, it's safe to assume that the disk is empty and jump straight to partitioning...
