Package: installation-reports Debian-installer-version: 7/24/2004, debian.uchicago.edu uname -a: Unable. Date: 7/30/2004 @ 2317CDT Method: Floppy install w/ Net-Drivers Machine: HP Vectra 4/66 Processor: P83 ODP Memory: 64MB Root Device: IDE 17.2GB Root Size/partition table: 1GB /, 16GB /home Output of lspci: Unknown Base System Installation Checklist: Initial boot worked: [O] Configure network HW: [O] Config network: [O] Detect CD: [ ] Load installer modules: [O] Detect hard drives: [E] Partition hard drives: [O] Create file systems: [O] Mount partitions: [O] Install base system: [E] Install boot loader: [ ] Reboot: [ ] [O] = OK, [E] = Error (please elaborate below), [ ] = didn't try it Comments/Problems: Encounter problems in one of two places: Either setup stalls detecting IDE-modules (80%) Or System stalls when installing the base system. Get errors that the archive is no longer valid or that the network is down. Suspect that the NIC driver modules are lost in the process of downloading and installing debian-base. Tried installing 3.0 from floppy, but driver-4 disk is corrupted. Unable to make another at this time.
