Bug#262197: debian-installer: stderr is discarded

I misspelt the name of my install proxy. The only message I got was that
the mirror was invalid.

On switching to tty2 I was able to enter the command from tty4 and so
discovered my error.

stderr should be captured (and maybe tailed), and when an error occurs
the user should be able to view (at least) the last screen-full.
