Reboot:                 [O]
[O] = OK, [E] = Error (please elaborate below), [ ] = didn't
	    try it

Comments/Problems:
booting from usb2 dvd drive worked fine, as did the first configure
steps
When detecting network hw, the installer did try to load modules for
every part of the hw present on the system (which is a bit misleading I
think), and even though i told him not to do so, tried to load every ide
driver module availible (via,promise,...), which of course failed every
time with an error message.
Network config via dhcp didn't work, for one reason or another (I now
that the dns server works), but did fine when configureing manualy)
when doing the general hw detection, it again tried to load every
availible ide driver module, even though i diactivated them)

One other thing, ehich is not all that importand for me though:
When I told the install to install with kernel 2.6.4, it failed because
it didn't find kernel-pcmcia-modules-2.6.4-686 (or was it
kernel-pcmcia-modules-2.6.4-1-686, sorry I forgot)
that is quite a minor issue for me because i compile my kernel myself,
so the installed one is replace quite soon

(maybe it is importand: i selected to install unstable, not sarge)

Hi,

first and foremost: thank you for your bug report.
<http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=3D240633>

I'm currently processing old installation reports, and since you
had some comments about the debian installer back in March, I thought I
wanted to state that - as you may already know - so much has changed
and improved since March (including pcmcia which seems to work well with
the current installer images). Therefore I will close this report,
since you in general had a successful installation.

However, it would be great and very much appreciated, if you could find
time to download and test the latest[1] cd image and comment on any new
problems with the installer you might come across (especially, it would
be interesting to know whether you still see any issues with hw=20
detection and pcmcia).

Thank you very much for your time.
