Hi,
I believe that the problem lies in grub's detection of devices.
I am working on a patch to make this work correctly on cciss
(which appears to be completely unsported at the moment).
If I send you a patch for grub / new grub package for woody,
will you be able to test it?
I hope to have code to test available some time this week.
