Yes, this problem is expected; it's been fixed by a new upload of
partman-auto, which should be included in tomorrow's images.

I still don't know why you're getting the warning about the first
partition not being an aboot partition.  There may be a problem with how
I'm munging partman partition IDs, but if so, this would be difficult to
track down without access to a disk that displays the problem.
