Comments/Problems:
The sata_svw kernel module wasn't loaded, so my partitions
didn't appear. After redetecing hardware they appeared.
Everthing went smoothly, except it installed a 2.4 kernel!
After rebooting i was left with the white "Simone" screen.

Booted from a Gentoo CD with root=/dev/sda3. Got the error
message: /bin/sh: line 1: /dev/tty1: no such file or directory.
Rebooted in single user mode and created an
/etc/rcS.d/S01mknod with mknod /dev/tty1 c 5 0 in it. Reboot,
continued installing Debian. Still getting problems with
respawning /dev/tty3,4,5,6 too quickly. I can't control-c
anything from console (but i can in Konsole)

Recompiled the kernel using the .config from Gentoo G5-SMP.
Built and installed a debian package.

Had a small problem configuring X wrt. the BusID. I may have
entered PCI:0:240:16 instead of PCI:240:16:0.

One persistent problem is lsmod prints this:
Module Size Used by Not tainted
lsmod: QM_MODULES: Function not implemented.
