Hello, I just tested debian-installer in my small sparc machine. I tried http://june.voxel.net/~joshk/d-i/images/2004-07-13/sparc32/netboot/boot.img $mirror/debian/dists/sarge/main/installer-sparc/current/images/sparc32/netboot/boot.img 2004-04-30 $mirror/debian/dists/sid/main/installer-sparc/current/images/sparc32/netboot/boot.img 2004-07-05 but couldn't get it booted: SPARCstation 20 (1 X 390Z50), No Keyboard ROM Rev. 2.22, 192 MB memory installed, Serial #3830841. Ethernet address 0:40:dc:3a:74:39, Host ID: 723a7439. Power-On SelfTest FAILED ... SIMM <J0201> Not Installed Type help for more information ok boot net Boot device: /iommu/sbus/ledma@f,400010/le@f,c00000 File and args: 3c6400 PROMLIB: obio_ranges 5 bootmem_init: Scan sp_banks, init_bootmem(spfn[427a],bpfn[43c7],mlpfn[8000]) then nothing happens (I waited 15 min). With the woody image I have no problems to boot the tftpimage ($mirror/debian/dists/woody/main/disks-sparc/current/sun4cdm/tftpboot.img 2002-05-18) Any idea or anything I can try to get the machine booted with d-i (sorry no cdrom or floppy available) or can help you with more informations? thx. -- Noèl Köthe <noel debian.org> Debian GNU/Linux, www.debian.org
