Package: debian-installer
Version: unknown

The installer should be able to launch SSHD for installation. This is
especially useful for remote installations. My suggestion:

- The kernel has to be booted with sshd=true root_password=12345
- Then the installer does not launch on tty1, but on the first successful
SSH connection for root (password set via root_password)
- In that mode, SSHD should be installed automatically, so the installation
can continue after the first reboot via SSH

Please see also my other bug report that will be filed in some minutes,
regarding the autostart function of the CD which is useful for rebooting in
that mode, so no CD has to be changed.

The network-console package should accomplish your needs.

There, however, seems to be a lack of documentation about it right now
as it's very new.

Closing this bug as the original intent has been satisfied.

Thanks for reporting!
