Comments/Problems:

I am on a network with a DHCP server configured such that:
A) The hostname is important.
B) The hostname must begin with a particular capital letter.

The Debian installer prompts me to enter a hostname, and I do so.
However, when dhclient attempts to autoconfigure the interface, it is
not properly passing the specified hostname to the DHCP server, and thus
receives no reply. Further, the installation image seems to lack any
kind of text editor for modifying the dhclient script, and dhclient
(unlike pump and dhcpcd) does not allow you to specify such things on
the command line. Therefore, there is no way to get network
connectivity during the install, and I cannot proceed. Additionally,
the "Detect CD" phase seems to spuriously depend on

Recommended Action: Modify the installer so that it does not 'mangle'
the specified hostname in any way, at least for the purposes of DHCP.
Alternately, let the user choose a specific DHCP_HOSTNAME to pass.
