Let's keep this in the bug log, even in french.

So, the GRUB install went OK, but when rebooting, you get a message
mentioning a "head sector problem". This message proposes either using
the "H" key for booting on the hard disk or boot from the CD.

Using H triggers the exact same message.

You thus ask about the possibility of installing GRUB from a floppy,
just for testing purposes and check whether the problem is
GRUB-related or not.



I first suggest you try using LILO-->when arriving at the screen which
proposes installing GRUB, just use the "back" choice and, at the main
menu, choose installing LILO.

On the other hand, maybe someone else will have more clue about this
"head sector problem".
