Bug#254452: Languages switches to english after rebooting during base-config

Ok, now I'm a bit confused ;-) which version (sarge or sid) this ISO-file is
from. Anyway I loaded the ISO-file you mention and here the issue is a bit
different than I described it for the daily builds i tested so far
(downloaded via http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-installer/ -> Daily
builds).
- When I select German and complete the base-config and start it again
afterwards (it makes no difference if I reboot after completing the config
or don't reboot) the base-config is in German again.
- However if I reboot during the initial run of base-config (for example
after setting the root password) the base-config will run in English.
I know, rebooting during the initial base-config should is not a standard
task but for troubleshooting sometimes necessary (example: bug #248627,
entry from pelle on 3 Jun 2004 22:19:57) for example when network problems
occur.
It might be that the setting in which language the base-config should run
gets lost if you reboot during the initial base-config run. By the way, I'm
using kernel 2.4.26.
Regards
Thorsten
