Just discovered that both load and ramdisk_size are not necessary. This works perfectly as well in /tftpboot/pxelinux.cfg/default: LABEL linux KERNEL vmlinuz APPEND initrd=initrd.gz devfs=mount root=/dev/ram DEBCONF_PRIORITY=medium
