Bug#242343: debian-installer beta 3 sparc netinst image failed to boot up on Ultra10

Hi,

if any of you guys still have this problem (Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to 
mount), can you confirm that you also get something similar to this at 
the beginning of the boot process?:
> > initrd extends beyond end of memory (0x0000000020dc76e4 >
> > 0x000000001ff14000)
> > disabling initrd

If so, your problem may be related to the problem I had with "initrd
extends beyond end of memory". In my case the location of my two memory
sticks (on an Ultra-5) was the source of the problem. Moving them from
DIMM3/4 to DIMM1/2 made to issue with initrd (and thereby the kernel
panic) go away. See this thread for details:
