Well, I think we can't call this a mess....just problems in testing
such changes (which is indeed not that easy when the package is not
uploaded.....testing 2nd stage packages is really difficult when they
have not been uploaded)

I confirm. The display problem is not important enough for changing
everything.
The needed changes may, imho, be made to trunk's languagechooser. But
tc1 needs to keep languagechooser 1.22. Languagechooser 1.23 is
currently tested with sid_d-i builds (I'm doing my best for testing
these up to 2nd stage but, well, I'm back at work now and 10h/day
hacking is now away...:-))).
